The Vesica lamp (Vesicalampen in Danish) certainly deserves a separate post. Code10 was Vesica’s virgin expo and judging by the interest the lamp and its designer (Kaare Oxlund) received I’m sure it will be put into production very soon…

The name of the lamp – Vesica – is inspired by a several thousand years old sacred geometric figure Vesica Pisces, the Latin name of fish bladder.

As you can see above, the Vesica piscis is a shape which is the intersection of two circles with the same radius, intersecting in such a way that the centre of each circle lies on the circumference of the other.

Here’s the proud designer presenting his products to the Code10 audience.

Here is a close-up of the various models of the lamp. The wall-mounted one gives really great light and beautiful reflects 😉
