“I wanted to get out of the square and cylindrical shapes” said Karim Rashid when he presented his Trex Wall Scone that he designed for lighting manufacturer Itre.

I guess we can all agree that he managed to create exactly what he intended 🙂 …yet again – great job Karim!

Today I feel like taking a long relaxing bath in great Italian company 😉

Antonio Lupi is his name and his Biblio bathtub collections is simply thrilling!

It’s rectangular. It’s white and simple…made of corian.

I like the shelving system – perfect for books, magazines and bath accessories.

A bunker just outside of Warsaw

This modern piece of architecture that resembles a fortified castle is a house located in Warsaw, Poland.

What’s special about this place is that when the owner is not home the house appears to be a bunker without windows and doors…only when the owner is back again the main gate opens and the rest of the house gets transformed into a living organism and the true luxurious spirit of this residence is revealed.

Here’s a good example of how to add cosiness and style into a small space.

What makes this apartment look even bigger is the fact that all the functional areas (living room, dinning room, kitchen and bedroom) are all in a single open space without any divisions and almost no space separators.

Have a great Sunday! 😉

Übercool extension

A demolition of one of the wings of this Victorian terraced house made room for a new modern white cube extension. It has a full-width glass wall with 5 metre high sliding doors, extending the living area out to the garden, and maximizing exposure to daylight.

I love the pink and red splash of colours in the kitchen zone as well as the floating staircase.

…also when it comes to good furniture design!

What littleNEST offers is a great design lesson that can easily evolve into a life-long passion or at least an expensive hobby 😉 …so now you’ve been warned!

I guess it’s time I myself keep my eyes wide open in search for this perfect art spot to decorate my lonely white wall in the living room 🙂
