Today’s inspiration

I love the astonishing roughness of the main wall in this room; as well as the faded colours of the sofa and the floor…

Floating, almost invisible or rather incredibly airy staircases have fascinated me for a quite a long time.

I can’t take my eyes off the ones that are extraordinarily minimalist and seem to contradict the laws of physics.

…personally I just love displaying my books…not that I’ve read all of them, but I like being reminded about those good titles in my collection 🙂 that’s why I would certainly enjoy having a staircase combined with a convenient book storage – voila!

A New York house of an artist – a mixture of contemporary elements and futuristic items, as well as furniture designed by the artist (Jonny Detiger) himself.

Yet another Copenhagen apartment that fascinated me at first sight.

I love it for the amazing effect the coal-black floors are creating in otherwise fairly ordinary interiors.

…from the good old IKEA.

Their textile products consist of plenty of great bedding, curtains and rugs, as well as the innovative panel curtains. Fresh colours and new patterns could help redecorate any majorly neglected interior.

I’ve already posted about space and alien related design in ‘Aliens are among us!!!‘.

Looking into the future has fascinated us for generations even though living tomorrow today is psychologically  speaking a disadvantageous exercise for the human brain …but as it comes to interior design it’s ok to indulge yourself in ‘what will tomorrow bring’ thinking 🙂

The city of Hyderabad in India is now officially pinpointed on the map of places I want to visit and experience …before I die 😉 or sooner.

Such inspirational forms, surfaces and colour combinations can only be a sign of a new revelation among Design Hotel members.

Ain’t that just a perfect chill-out place?

Great for a weekend retreat or a summer holiday 🙂

…just viewing the pictures makes me so relaxed…
